Ehsan Zahidov, Press Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, said the training exercises were carried out in accordance with a pre-scheduled plan, aimed at further improving the quick reaction and response capabilities of the police authorities and the embassy security staff in the prevention of possible terrorist attacks and other threats.
According to him, the exercises which started early morning have been completed by afternoon.
In his words, similar exercises have to date been carried out in the embassies of other countries in Azerbaijan too.
The U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan confirmed that the Public Security Directorate of the Ministry of Interior jointly with the embassy security staff held practical training at the embassy.
The U.S. Embassy expressed its gratitude to the Ministry of Interior, Nasimi District Police, Nasimi Traffic Police and the embassy’s security office for their active participation in the training.
