Police committed murder in Azerbaijanâ€™s capital was an officer of 9th Police Office of Sabayel District Police Department

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov â€“ APA. Police committed murder in Azerbaijanâ€™s capital was the officer of 9th Police Office of Sabayel District Police Department. Nasimi District Prosecutorâ€™s Office told APA.

Killed police Major Aliyev Zaur Safail was senior operations adviser in the 9th Police Office. Gafarov Tural Kamil, who committed the murder, is a police officer of the Quick Police Regiment. They are said to be relatives and the incident occurred over the personal dispute between them.

APA reports Gafarov Tural Kamil was husband of Aliyeva Nargiz Safail, the sister of Aliyev Zaur Safail. They recently divorced by the decision of Yasamal District Court.

Note that the incident occurred in D. Aliyeva Street of Nasimi District last night. Police Major Aliyev Zaur Safail was stabbed to death by police officer Gafaroglu Tural Kamil over the personal dispute. As a result of series of stab wounds, Aliyev died at site. Gafarov has already been detained.

Nasimi District Prosecutorâ€™s Office has launched a criminal case on the fact under article 120.1. (Deliberate murder) of the Criminal Code. The investigation is underway.
