Two Azerbaijanis beaten up in Zelenograd - PHOTOSESSION
He said he was taxi driver at Krukovo station. “On November 20, a group of persons approached and told us that we have to leave our working place. They told us if we continue to work there they will kill us and to set on fire our cars. They were armed and therefore we decided not to venture our lives and went away. A week later we again went to the area to work. A man took a taxi and asked to drive to Mendeleevo district. I agreed to term to drive for 300 rubles. We talked with him on the way and he asked to stop near a shop to buy cigarette. He even offered juice to me. We went ahead. The passenger said he is from Dagestan, but didn’t know his native language because he left homeland long ago. I stopped the car near the station where he asked. He thrust the hand into pocket and I thought that he would pay, but he suddenly beat me on head. Several armed people attacked me and started to beat. Then one of them shot me on neck. They decided that I was killed and left the areaâ€.
Habil Mammadov said he was left on the ground and then he crept toward the road and taxi drivers helped them to reach Zelenograd traffic patrol service, where he faced with indifference. Patrols told him that they couldn’t help him because the incident took place in other district. Mammadov’s friends came and took him to the hospital.
Mammadov told APA correspondent that the persons threatened him and other taxi drivers have links wit the law-enforcement bodies. “One police officer told us about that. He recommended us to be careful concerning those people because they have links with police. We went to police but there was no reactionâ€.â€
Other witnesses told APA they faced with similar incidents for many times. Atayev Khayyam Murtuzali said they demanded to leave their lands and to work at home. “They said only taxi drivers of Raketa Company can work thereâ€.
“Raketa’s owner Shahlar told us not to park the cars in the area because guys threatening us are serious and they can do everything. Our colleague Shahriyar received calls informing about the beat up of taxi drivers Habil and Ravil Aliyev.
Officials of the Moscow Health Department’s hospital No 3 didn’t explain how the gunshot-wounded people were discharged from the hospital. A discharging inquiry was signed by doctors Nazarov and Mekeev.
