The fire, which broke out in the building situated at the intersection of Adil Guliyev and Fathi Khoshginabi streets at 01.10, November 27, was extinguished in the morning. The damage is being assessed at present. Commander of the Naval Forces, vice-admiral Shahin Sultanov, high-ranking officers of Defense Ministry and the Ministry of Emergency Situations visited the site.
The garret of the building has burnt down. As the fire was strong, a lot of fire engines and ambulances were called to the site. The high-ranking officers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the ministry’s Fire Protection Service, and Defense Ministry visited the site. Though strong wind created obstacles, the fire was extinguished.
Nothing is known about the causes of the fire. It is not known whether there are casualties or not.
The headquarters of the Naval Forces and Officers’ House are based in the 100-year-old building.
