Armed robber shoots out with currency exchange guard
The driver gave testimony to police and confirmed that the robber had a gun.
The incident took place Thursday morning in the Debutbank exchange No 24 at Ataturk Avenue in Narimanov district of Baku. The armed robber injured the exchange staff member Tarlan Malikov and then escaped taking about 7000 AZN.
Law-enforcement officials, deputy police chief of Baku City Elkhan Hasanov and top officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrived at site. No casualties were reported.
Narimanov district police told APA that staff member of the currency exchange Tarlan Malikov, 21 was wounded during the robbery and taken to the Central Clinic Hospital.
Doctors told APA Malikov got stab injuries on head and face and his condition is satisfactory.
