Armed man robbed 7 000 AZN from currency exchange in Baku - <font color=red> PHOTOSESSION</font>

The prosecutorâ€™s office launched criminal investigation under article 181 (robbery) of the Criminal Code. Guliyev said the robber injured the exchange staff member Tarlan Malikov and then escaped taking about 7000 AZN. Police conducts operational searches to detain the robber.

Deputy police chief of Baku City Elkhan Hasanov, who arrived at site, told APA correspondent that police found a car, which robber used to escape from the site.

The incident took place Thursday morning in the Debutbank exchange No 24 at Ataturk Avenue in Narimanov district of Baku, APA reports.

Law-enforcement officials, deputy police chief of Baku City Elkhan Hasanov and top officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrived at site. No casualties were reported.

APA correspondent said he saw bloodstain traces at site.

Narimanov district police told APA that staff member of the currency exchange Tarlan Malikov, 21 was wounded during the robbery and taken to the Central Clinic Hospital.

Doctors told APA Malikov got stab injuries on head and face and his condition is satisfactory.
