Salyan. Alibey Zeynalli – APA. 1900 fire incidents have taken place in Azerbaijan since the beginning of this year, department chief of the Fire Security Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Hikmat Khudiyev told APA Mil-Mugan bureau. The fires caused AZN 5 million damages on public and private properties, the official said.
31 people died and many injured in the fire incidents.
The department chief said the State Fire Security Service declared anti-fire campaign in November, 2009. It plans to reduce the number of incidents and to carry out effective and preventive measures in this field.
