Court declares judgment for â€œForest brothersâ€

Baku. Ramil Mammadli â€“ APA. Hearing on the case of the 26-men organized gang, which is accused of forming a group â€œForest brothersâ€, committing a number of crimes, including terror attack on Abu Bakr mosque in Narimanov district was held in the Court of Grave Crimes. APA reports that Karamat Aliyev began declaring the judgment. The judgment consists of 300 pages. The security of the Court of Grave Crimes has been strengthened.

The hearing began on June 29. On October 15 public prosecutor Murvat Hasanov demanded 15-year sentence for Azerbaijanis Elnur Bashirov, Gudrat Malikov, Khalid Valimatov, Ulfat Malikov, Vahid Asadov and citizen of Russia Magomed Isayev, 10-year sentence for Kamran Bozorgin, Zabir Shikhbabayev, Samir Babayev, Anar Valimatov, 9-year sentence for Fariz Mammadov, Rasim Isgandarov, Taleh Maharramov, Elshan Allahverdiyev, 8-year sentence for Rafig Agajanov, Zaur Jafarov, Azer Bakhishov, 7-year sentence for Teymur Narimanov, Musa Orujov, Aleksandr Nuraliyev, Mammad Mammadov, Elkhan Osmanov, Rufat Rzayev, Sardar Bunyatov, Yamin Ali and 3-year sentence for Ozdemir Ergin.

The defendants are accused of committing explosion in Abu Bakr mosque and other crimes. They faced charges under Articles 214 (terrorism), 120 (premeditated murder), 279 (creation of armed formations or groups, which are not provided by the legislation of the Azerbaijan Republic), 228 (illegal purchase, transfer, selling, storage, transportation and carrying of fire-arms, accessories to it, supplies, explosives) of the Criminal Code.
