The murder was committed in the territory of 45th residential quarter near the Diamed Health Center. Resident of Sumgayit City, Aghamoghlan Alihasan Ibrahimov, 55 stabbed Mammadov Hamlet Ali, 43. Hamlet’s brother Ilham Mammadov was also stabbed when he tried to interfere. Both of brothers died at site.
Ibrahimov surrendered to police voluntarily. He said he killed the brothers over the property debt disputes.
Prosecutor’s office of the Sumgayit City launched criminal investigation under article 120.1 (deliberate murder) of the Criminal Code. The investigation is underway.
