Baku. Hafiz Heydarov â€“ APA. Baku City Prosecutorâ€™s and Police offices issue joint statement on murder of businessman in Baku. The prosecutorâ€™s office told APA that on October 25, information was given to 102 service of the Interior Ministry that an Azsamand and its passenger burnt in the dumps in Balakhany settlement. The group composed of the officers of Baku Main Police Office, Baku Prosecutorâ€™s Office, Sabunchu district police and prosecutorâ€™s office was immediately sent to the site. As a result of the investigations, the person, who burnt in the car, was identified. It was Khanbeyi Zamanov, 54. According to the initial judgment of the forensic medical examination, the person, who burnt in the car, had been first shot in head with Nagan pistol. Then the car was burnt.

Police launched criminal investigation under articles 120.1 (deliberate murder) and 228.1 (illegal purchase, storage and carrying of arms) and confiscated material evidences to identify the motive of crime, method of committal, used instruments and other means, as well as conducting the necessary examination.

As a result of the operations, Abdullayev Nemet Shemil, 27, who killed Zamanov, was held accountable. According to his initial testimony, he committed the murder together with his common-law wife Azimova Samira Evez, 26. That day he was to acquaint Zamanov with his pig breeding farm and his wife. Abdullayev and Azimova got into the Zamanovâ€™s car. Abdullayev asked Zamanov to drive to the farm and killed him on the way, then burned the car together with his body to cover up traces.

Abdullayev and Azimova were detained on October 26 and Nagan pistol was found near Abdullayev. They confessed the crime.

The investigation is going on for discovering other participants of the crime and its reasons.
