Police officer gives testimony at Emin Milli and Adnan Hajizadeh trial

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov â€“ APA. Sabayel district court held hearing on the case of Emin Milli and Adnan Hajizadeh on Tuesday, APA reports. Araz Huseynov presided over the hearing. Staff member of the 9th police unit of Sabayel district police office Sanani Mammadov gave testimony at the trial. He said he was on duty on the day of incident. â€œFive men were brought to police office and I registered them. Two of them were injuredâ€. Mammadov said he didnâ€™t remember details because three months have passed since than. Then the witness answered the questions of defend lawyers.

The judge said the person aggrieved couldnâ€™t attend the trial because of health problems. The owner of Lebanese restaurant Shahzeyneb Rustamova also didnâ€™t attend the trial. The lawyers demanded to bring her to the process. The court said it would investigate reasons of Rustamovaâ€™s absence.

The hearing will continue on November 6.

Emin Milli and Adnan Hajizadeh were detained in connection with incident in Lebanese restaurant on July 8. They faced charges under articles 127.2.3 (inflicting minor bodily harm) and 221.2.1 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code.
