Lawyer ordered murder of businessman in Azerbaijanâ€™s capital

Baku Main Police Office told APA that a lawyer ordered the murder of the businessman in Baku.

On October 25, information was given to 102 service of the Interior Ministry that an Azsamand and its passenger burnt in the dumps in Balakhany settlement. The group composed of the officers of Baku Main Police Office, Baku Prosecutorâ€™s Office, Sabunchu district police and prosecutorâ€™s office was immediately sent to the site. As a result of the investigations, the person, who burnt in the car, was identified. It was Khanbeyi Zamanov, 54. According to the initial judgment of the forensic medical examination, the person, who burnt in the car, had been first shot in head with Nagan pistol. Then the car was burnt.

Investigation found out that Zamanov was in a banquet in one of the wedding places in Baku. Zamanovâ€™s son told during the investigation that his father left after receiving a call.

Later, Zamanovâ€™s work was investigated. Zamanov was a businessman and had a long trial with Shakir Huseynov, head of Shakir construction company. Zamanov had a land plot near 20 Yanvar circle. Huseynov misappropriated the land plot. After that they had a trial and Zamanov won.

As a result of the operations, Abdullayev Nemet Shemil, 27, who killed Zamanov, was held accountable. According to his initial testimony, he committed the murder together with his common-law wife Azimova Samira Evez, 26. He got acquainted with Zamanov in Huseynovâ€™s office. That day he was to acquaint Zamanov with his pig breeding farm. Abdullayev said he found the pistol in the dumps in Balakhany. Abdullayev said he dug in the Nagan pistol, 11 cartridges, 3 cartridge-cases and a Makarov pistol near his house, the weapons were dug out with the defendantâ€™s participation. The defendants said they killed Zamanov by the order of Shakir Huseynovâ€™s lawyer Nagiyev Nadir Allahverdi. He was detained immediately.

Baku prosecutorâ€™s office has launched criminal case on the fact, investigation is underway.
