Baku – APA. The life-term prisoners of Gobustan jail of Justice Ministry’s Penitentiary Service appealed to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the prisoners’ relatives told APA. The prisoners asked the president to pardon them. 128 prisoners signed the appeal. For premature release of the prisoners they asked to minimize the alternative term envisaged in the law.
The prisoners also said they had gone on hunger strike several times asking to commute their sentence, and undergone pressures.
