One killed and one injured in armed incident in Aghdash region of Azerbaijan

On Sunday, resident of Kotala village of the region Huseynov Rouzman Shamil, 52, suspected in theft, fired on police when they tried to arrest him, APA local bureau reports. Police came to his house to arrest him, but faced with armed resistance. Additional police forces arrived at site. Huseynov threw a grenade to police officers. The interior troops were involved in the region from Baku four hours later. They cordoned Huseynovâ€™s house for six hours, but he could escape by the secret way.
Huseynov visited former local authority of the village Seyfanov Bakhshali Siyas, 38 at his house and accused him in denouncing him to police. Huseynov shot Seyfanov to death with an automatic gun and seriously wounded another villager Ahmadov Famil Gurban, 37 and escaped from the site. The prosecutorâ€™s office of Aghdash region launched criminal investigation under five articles of the Criminal Code. Police strengthened security measures in the region and nearby areas and began large operation searches to detain Rouzman Huseynov.

High ranking officials of the Azerbaijanâ€™s Interior Ministry also arrived in the region.
