â€œForest Brothersâ€ court investigation ends

Baku. Ramil Mammadli â€“ APA. Hearing on the case of the 26-men organized gang, which is accused of forming a group â€œForest brothersâ€, committing a number of crimes, including terror attack on Abu Bakr mosque in Narimanov district continued in the Court of Grave Crimes on Thursday, APA reports. Karamat Aliyev presided over the hearing. Prosecutor Murvat Hasanov asked the judges to complete the court investigation and his petition was accepted. Hasanov asked the court for a time to defend indictment.

The court hearing will continue on October 8. The public prosecutor will demand imprisonment of defendants in that session.

The defendants are accused of committing explosion in Abu Bakr mosque and other crimes. They faced charges under Articles 214 (terrorism), 120 (premeditated murder), 279 (creation of armed formations or groups, which are not provided by the legislation of the Azerbaijan Republic), 228 (illegal purchase, transfer, selling, storage, transportation and carrying of fire-arms, accessories to it, supplies, explosives) of the Criminal Code. 26 were detained during the initial investigation.
