Witnesses give testimony at Emin Milli and Adnan Hajizadeh trial

Baku. Ramil Mammadli â€“ APA. Sabayel district court has held hearing on case of imprisoned Emin Milli and Adnan Hajizadeh, APA reports. Araz Huseynov presided over the hearing. Police officer Zahid Dashdemirov gave a testimony. He said they were on duty on that day near Lebanese restaurant where security measures were strengthened because of Syrian presidentâ€™s visit to the Azerbaijani Museum of History. They were informed that there was scuffle in the restaurant. Dashdemirov said when police arrived at site the calmness was restored there and they saw Emin Milli and Adnan Hajizadeh injured. Then they took them away to police office. Other participants of the scuffles were also brought to police office.

Following this, Emin Milli and Adnan Hajizadeh, as well as the persons, who were together with them on that day, gave a testimony. Milli and Hajizadeh denied police evidences and described the event in other manner.

Lawyers of the defendants asked the court to invite expert doctor who examined the scuffle participants to the court. The judge said their petition would be reviewed if there was necessity.

Emin Milli and Adnan Hajizadeh were detained in connection with the incident happened in Lebanese restaurant in Azerbaijanâ€™s capital on July 8. They faced charges under Articles 127.2.3 (inflicting minor bodily harm) and 221.2.1 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code.
