Azerbaijanâ€™s National Security Ministry and Prosecutor Generalâ€™s Office issue joint statement on grave crime committed in Yardimli 17 years ago

Public affairs center of the National Security Ministry told APA that the grave crime committed 17 years ago had been solved.

In November, 1992, residents of Honuba village of Yardimli region Agamali Bahmanov and his cousins Farail and Khubiyar Bahmanovs committed a grave crime. They killed Agamali Bahmanovâ€™s sister Irada Bahmanova as they suspected her of immoral conduct and pregnancy. Agamali Bahmanov, Farail and Khubiyar Bahmanovs strangled Irada Bahmanova and buried the body in the yard near the lavatory.

Yardimli region prosecutorâ€™s office launched criminal case on the fact on articles 120.2.1 (premeditated murder by a group of persons) and 120.2.8 (premeditated murder of a woman who was obviously pregnant) of the Criminal Code.

Agamali Bahmanov and his cousins Farail and Khubiyar Bahmanovs admitted their crime. Agamali, Farail and Khubiyar Bahmanovs were held accountable and arrested on September 23, 2009.

Yardimli region prosecutorâ€™s office continues investigating the fact.
