Former Azerbaijani captain of “Bouquet” ship goes on trial in Georgia

Tbilisi. Nizami Mammadzadeh – APA. Former captain of “Bouquet” ship Ilgar Imamverdiyev goes on trial in Poti, Georgia on Monday. The trial will begin at 13.00, Azerbaijani embassy in Georgia told APA. Ilgar Imamverdiyev was arrested by police of Georgian town of Poti and accused in violation of customs rules and rules of entrance of foreign citizens to the occupied territories.

“Bouquet” crew members, Azerbaijani citizens Tariyel Nasirov, Asgar asgarov, Vusal Hamzayev and Akram Zamanov, arrested as a suspect are also expected to go on trial on Monday. They are accused in illegal crossing of Georgian state borders. “Bouquet” floating under the Panamanian flag was detained for entrance to the occupied territory of Abkhazia illegally crossing the Georgian state borders many times and was tugged to the coast guard base in Poti.
