Latif Huseynov took a stance on the restriction imposed on the performance of religious rituals by the people studying religion abroad.
“While assessing this restriction, it would not be right to ignore the factors posing real threat to the public order and national security. It is known that the people studying religion abroad are often drawn to promote dangerous trends and ideas in our country. Religious activity of these persons in our country is not and can not be prohibited by the law. The restriction concerns their performing religious rituals and ceremonies,” he said.

Latif Huseynov also spoke about the election legislation.
“Venice Commission has positive opinion of Azerbaijan’s Electoral Code. The commission considers that this Code allows holding elections in line with the international standards,” he said.
