Some border checkpoints of Azerbaijan installed remote temperature indicator in connection with swine flu threat

State Customs Committee told APA that the persons with such symptoms as cough, weakness, high temperature, respiratory catarrh, pains in muscles and joints are detected by means of thermometry, anamnesis, visual examination and other methods. Conditions have been created to isolate temporarily sick persons or persons suspected of having the disease.

Moreover, vehicles are regularly disinfected using special protective dresses. Individuals are to submit the information about the relevant medical-sanitary control to the customs body.
Regular mechanisms of contact were established for exchange of information with the hygienic and epidemiological centers’ officials and organizing necessary activities in the regions.

The State Customs Committee purchased remote temperature indicator and installed in some border check-points. The Committee received from the Health Ministry’s Sanitary-Quarantine Inspection the International Medical-Sanitary Rules and Azerbaijan’s National Plan for Flu Pandemic”. The documents were sent to the relevant customs organizations.

Information about the foreigners and Azerbaijani citizens arrived from the countries, where A/H1N1 virus was identified, is sent to the Health Ministry’s Sanitary-Quarantine Inspection.
