Ministry of Internal Affairs holds board meeting on results of first half of 2009

Baku - APA. Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs has held a large board meeting on the results of crime control and public security measures taken in the first half of 2009, as well as upcoming duties. Minister of Internal Affairs Colonel- General Ramil Usubov delivered the opening speech at the meeting, press service of the ministry told APA. He said positive results of previous years were saved in the past six months and developed in the number of directions. Then deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Lieutenant-General Vilayat Eyvazov made report on the results of crime control and public security measures in the first half of 2009.
Chief of the Baku Police Headquarters Abbasov, chief of the Drug Control Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Aslanov, chief of the Interpol National Central Bureau Mirzayev, chief of the Office on Combating Human Trafficking Shikhaliyev, chief of the Ganja City Police Office Musayev and others spoke about the work done and problems and said the shortages would be lifted soon.
Finalizing the meeting, Minister Ramil Usubov positively appreciated the activity of the organizations of internal affairs and noted that there are some shortages and problems yet and made recommendations to lift the problems.
