Emin Milliâ€™s appeal rejected

Baku. Ramil Mammadli â€“ APA. On Monday, Baku Appeal Court addressed the appeal of the founder of Alumni Youth Network Emin Milli. According to APA, the court presided by judge Jamal Ramazanov rejected the appeal of defense lawyers about the annulment of the first instance courtâ€™s decision about two-month pre-trial restriction of Emin Milli and recognition of his constitutional rights.
Lawyer Elton Guliyev told journalists that they were rejected in their petition to hold open session, but the court allowed Emin Milli to attend the session. The lawyer said they would appeal the European Court of Human Rights about the todayâ€™s decision of the Baku Appeal Court.
Hajizadeh and Milli were attacked by unknown people in Lebanese restaurant on July 8 in Sabayel district of Baku. Police detained Hajizadeh and Milli for investigation and released the persons attacked them. They face with charges under 221.2 (hooliganism by a group of persons) of the Criminal Code and were detained for two-month pending trial by the Sabayel district courtâ€™s decision on July 11.
