Department chief of Kalbajar region police office held accountable over counterfeit ID cards

Chief of registration and ID cards department of Kalbajar region police office Jeyran Rajabova is accused of giving counterfeit ID cards to Georgian citizens and other persons. Chief of public security department of Kalbajar region police office Khayyam Bagirov partially confirmed the fact to APAâ€™s west bureau.
â€œAs a result of the inspection carried out by the ministry, faults were found out in Jeyran Rajabovaâ€™s work, she was dismissed and held accountable. But I can not say what she is accused of,â€ he said.
Witnesses confirmed the fact. They said doubts arouse when a Georgian citizen with counterfeit ID card tried to get passport in Gandja regional branch of Passport, Registration and Migration Office. Employee of the department Alaga Hasanov doubted that the man was from Kalbajar. Inspections proved the doubts. Five more facts over counterfeit passports were found out. Hasanov told APAâ€™s correspondent that the first warning concerning counterfeit passports came from the relevant bodies of Interior Ministry.
â€œWe were warned that some of the ID cards given by the registration and ID cards department of Kalbajar region police office might be counterfeit, we were told to be attentive,â€ he said.
