Territorial inspector of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Mahmoud Akhundov cautioned the resident of Girzan Village of Tovuz Vusal Mirzayev, 23 and resident of Bozalganli Village of the region Ceyhun Aliyev, 31 while they were illegally fishing at night on May 17 in the part of Kura River passing through the territory of Duz Giragli Village of Tovuz Region. Mirzayev and Aliyev disputed with the inspector and then shot him and an unauthorized person Aydin Hasanov near him. Akhundov was wounded on his eye and was taken to the Baku hospital, but Hasanov wounded in the breast hospitalized in Tovuz.
Doctors said they were in medium-hard condition. Mirzayev and Aliyev were detained. The prosecutor’s office of the Tovuz Region launched a criminal case against them.
