“Ecstasy case” sentenced Yalchin Hasanov transferred to the treatment facility of the Justice Ministry

Baku. Ramil Mammadov –APA. Yalchin Hasanov, son of the former prosecutor of Azizbayov District Rashid Hasanov, who was sentenced for “ecstasy case” was transferred to the medical treatment facility of the Justice Ministry, Hasanov’s lawyer Heydar Asgarov told APA. He had health problems and was transferred to the treatment facility ten days ago. The lawyer said he didn’t appeal the decision of the Grave Crimes Court because of Yalchin Hasanov’s health problems. The treatment facility sources confirmed that Yalchin Hasanov is receiving treatment in their facility. Doctors said the problems didn’t threaten his life.

The court sentenced Yalchin Hasanov to 8 years, Ruslan Zaliyev to 2 years, Ruslan Rustamov to 7 years and 3 months, Ali Ismayilov to 7 years and 6 months, Zubiya Gulami to 6 years, Vugar Aliyev to 2 years, Javidan Aliyev to 2 years, Hasan Hasanov to 7 years and 3 months in jail charging them under articles 206 (smuggling), 234.1 (illegal manufacturing, purchase, storage, transportation, transfer or selling of narcotics, psychotropic substances) and 234.4.1 (Illegal manufacturing, purchase, storage, transportation, transfer or selling of narcotics, psychotropic substances on preliminary arrangement by group of persons or organized group) of the Criminal Code.
Under the decision, Orkhan Nadirov were sentenced to 11 months, Ramin Hasanov to 10 months, Kamala Eyvazova to 10 months, Elshan Budagov to 10 months and Mirali Aliyev to 10 months, but they were released from the court room. The judgment was not applied to Mahir Mirsalamli. Earlier, the court passed a judgment to stop the criminal case on him until he recovers. He is being treated in the medical unit of Justice Ministry’s Penitentiary Service.
