Baku. Shamil Alibeyli – APA. “First of all, I want to congratulate the Azerbaijani people on the signing of the final investment agreement on Shah Deniz-2 project, because it wouldn’t have been achieved, if Azerbaijan had not attracted so many investors worldwide.”
Turkey's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ismail Alper Coskun commented to APA on the signing of the final investment agreement on Shah Deniz-2 project.
The Ambassador said that the arrival of high-level officials in Azerbaijan from many countries on this occasion, cooperation with those countries and companies are praiseworthy: “Turkey is also proud of it, as we have implemented it following the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline project. It isn’t enough to have resources, they should be delivered to the market and consumers. Thus, totally $25 billion has been invested in this regard. The main point was the political will. Trade agreement has already been adopted and natural gas will be transported to Turkey, the Balkans and Europe through this pipeline. Furthermore, there are projects that will linke Kars–Tbilisi–Baku and energy systems of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey. I think that the potential of the region is being gradually revealed.”
