Baku. Real Jafarli – APA. The next meeting of the Caspian countries’ foreign ministers will be held on May 11-12 in Astrakhan.
APA reports quoting IRIB that prior to the meeting, deputy foreign ministers will hold a meeting in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.
Russian Ambassador to Iran Levan Jagarian told ISNA that Russia proposed to hold the meeting of heads of Caspian states on September 29 in Astrakhan. According to him, the legal status and ecological situation of the Caspian Sea will be discussed at the meeting. Jagarian also noted that an agreement had been reached to hold the next meeting of deputy foreign ministers on April 22 in Astrakhan.
Iranian Ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sanai has met with special representative of the Russian president on demarcation and delimitation of state borders Igor Bradchikov. The sides discussed the legal status of the Caspian Sea.
