Azerbaijan and the European Union signed the readmission agreement in Brussels on February 28.
According to the document, Azerbaijan shall readmit its citizens, illegally residing in the EU member states and citizens who were subject to deportation.
The agreement will come into force after having been confirmed by the European Parliament along with visa facilitation agreement signed between Azerbaijan and the EU in Vilnius on November 29, 2013.
Both agreements are expected to come into force in the second half of 2014.
