Foreign Ministry’s press service told APA that the meeting was attended by Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova Natalia Gherman, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara and GUAM Secretary General Valeri Chechelashvili.
Mutual political activity among GUAM member states and cooperation within GUAM+ format were discussed at the meeting. Views were expressed on economic and commercial cooperation. The participants exchanged views on the protracted conflicts in GUAM area and their impact on international peace, security and development. Agreement was reached to continue GUAM’s cooperation with other states and international organizations. The ministers supported GUAM member states’ active cooperation with EU.
Moldova took over GUAM’s chairmanship from Georgia.
