The Cooperation Council coordinates the implementation of agreement on partnership and cooperation between the EU and partner countries. The agreement between Azerbaijan and the EU has been valid since 1999. The 13th meeting of the EU-Azerbaijan Cooperation Council was held on December 17, 2012 and the Azerbaijani delegation was led by Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
