“The UK is strongest foreign investor here we have key cooperation in strong sector like energy. We also have strong political ties and I’m proud of it. I am working very hard to strengthen it even further,” said Irfan Siddiq.
The diplomat said he takes great effort to learn as much as he can about Azerbaijan being an ambassador here: “It is a job of any Ambassador to understand the situation in any country properly so he can report on the situation to his quarters. I meet with opposition media publications representatives as well as with government media representatives. I don’t think it is helpful for me to be criticized for doing my job.”
