British Airways not to resume flights to Armenia

According to him, last year, the company purchased British BMI company implementing flights to Yerevan: “A decision has been passed to suspend flights as it was unprofitable. For the present, it’s not planned to resume the flights”.

Rock added that instead of Yerevan, flights have been launched to Almaty (Kazakhstan) and Tbilisi (Georgia)

He also noted that number of passengers from Baku to the UK is sufficient: “Currently, one of the main priorities for us is Baku. The company seeks opportunities to study how the new flights will be useful for Azerbaijani passengers and British Airways”.

Note that the company’s income in July-September of 2012 made 268 mln Euros, 477 mln in 2013.
