Chairman of Crimea Azerbaijan Society Rahim Humbatov told APA that the situation is tense in Crimea, armed conflict may happen anytime. He said the Azerbaijanis living in the autonomous republic are advised to leave the region and conditions are offered for this.
Humbatov said he does not know exactly how many Azerbaijani families left Crimea.
First secretary for consular issues at Azerbaijani embassy in Ukraine Asim Osmanov told APA that they are aware of the situation.
“The embassy is regularly contacting with various bodies for the security of the Azerbaijanis in Crimea. The situation in Crimea is dangerous for the Azerbaijanis living there,” he said.
