Azerbaijani President to attend 3rd Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius

APA reports quoting the EU press service that the summit will be chaired by the President of the European Council, Herman van Rompuy who, together with the President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso.

The President of the European Parliament, Martin Schultz, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the Commission Catherine Ashton,

European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Štefan Füle will also attend the summit.

The six partner countries will be represented by the President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan, President Georgi Margvelashvili of Georgia, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich, Moldovan Prime Minister Iurie Leanca and Vladimir Makei, Foreign Minister of Belarus.

Azerbaijani President is expected to hold some bilateral meetings within the summit.

French Minister of Commerce, co-chair of Azerbaijan-France Intergovernmental Economic Commission Nicole Bricq told journalists at the 7th meeting of the commission in Baku that French President François Hollande and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev would meet within the summit.
