Baku – APA. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received delegatin led by World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus Henry Kerali.
APA reports that Kerali high appreciated economic development measures, works conducted for improvement of welfare of the people in Azerbaijan.
President Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan achieved successful economic development and new five-year economic development program has been confirmed and this program mainly includes non-oil sector and industrial development. Ha also said that demographic growth have been taken into account during execution of the program.
President Aliyev said that purposeful measures have been taken for strengthening of social situation of middle class in the country.
The sides also discussed issues on extension of cooperation between Azerbaijan and WB on agriculture, culture and other spheres.
