Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry responds to OSCE Minsk Group US Co-Chair

The job of the co-chairing countries mediating at the negotiations between Baku and Yerevan on settlement of Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict is to achieve the restoration of justice”, said spokesman for Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Elman Abdullayev said on his Facebook page while commenting on views of the OSCE Minsk Group US Co-Chair James Warlick on Twitter.

The diplomat underlined that to restore the justice Armenia must be made to observe the norms and principles of international law: “This must be the message of the co-chairing countries: taking into account that process of the conflict settlement is in its sensitive period, James Warlick should be careful while issuing messages about the settlement of the conflict. The question is about the violation of the international law and the humanitarian tragedy that the Azerbaijani people have faced”.

US co-chair said the conflict is between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan: “Still, we want a peaceful settlement for all parties for NK”.
