During the conversation the presidents expressed views on the priorities of bilateral cooperation and noted the existence of the great potential for expansion of mutually beneficial economic and trade links.
The heads of state agreed to continue the regular consultations between the two foreign ministries aimed at strengthening constructive interstate dialogue. Touching upon the importance of humanitarian and cultural relations, the presidents underlined the necessity of intensifying fruitful cooperation in this area.
The sides also exchanged views on topical regional and international issues of mutual interest.
President Ilham Aliyev invited his Turkmen counterpart to visit Azerbaijan. The date of the visit will be agreed through diplomatic channels.
