APA reports quoting ISNA that Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov handed over the chairmanship of ECO Council of Foreign Ministers to Iran for one year term at the meeting held in “Azadi” hotel. Following this, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif delivered a speech and President Hassan Rouhani delivered a keynote speech.
Foreign Ministers of the member countries hailed the nuclear deal between Iran and the five permanent members of the Security Council plus Germany and delivered their congratulations. Iranian Foreign Minister informed about Geneva agreement.
Azerbaijan was represented by Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov. Representatives of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Iran attended the meeting of ECO Council of Foreign Ministers.
