“A special committee is mulling visa waivers for Iranian nationals and we are optimistic about the settlement of the issue in the near future. Baku is considering the lifting of visa requirements for Iranian citizens because of the willingness of the two countries to develop ties,” said the ambassador.
Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohsen Pak Ayeen told APA that he supports his Azerbaijani counterpart’s views: “We welcome this step. We'd like to increase relations between Azerbaijan and Iran and want the people can easily visit each other. Several times we discussed this issue with Azeri officials.”
