Foreign Ministry’s press service told APA that Azimov and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil Carlos Paranhos held bilateral political consultations during the visit.
The parties discussed dynamics of the development of relations and achievements between the two countries in the last 20 years. The current state of bilateral relations, prospects for future cooperation, regional and international peace and security issues were also discussed.
They also stressed the importance of frequent mutual visits, enhancement of the legal framework and mechanism for bilateral and multilateral political dialogue.
As a part of his visit Azimov held high-level meetings at Brazil's Parliament, Defense Ministry and other institutions.
