Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has highly praised Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov's first official visit to Ukraine, saying it would further strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries, APA reports.
Ukrainian minister made the remarks in a post on X.
Referring to Jeyhun Bayramov as his "friend," the Ukrainian foreign minister said he was pleased to welcome him to Kyiv:
"Our discussions covered key issues on the bilateral and international agenda, including regional security, efforts to achieve a lasting peace, economic and energy cooperation, as well as Azerbaijan's important contribution to Ukraine's recovery.
Today's meeting marks another important step in further strengthening the strategic partnership between Ukraine and Azerbaijan. Our dialogue remains active and substantive, driven by regular high-level contacts, practical cooperation, and a shared commitment to expanding our bilateral agenda.
I thanked Azerbaijan for its humanitarian assistance since the first days of Russia's full-scale invasion, particularly in supporting Ukraine's energy resilience, restoring critical infrastructure, and contributing to reconstruction efforts.
Ukraine highly values Azerbaijan's consistent support for our sovereignty and territorial integrity and remains equally committed to supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
Thank you, dear Jeyhun, for the productive discussions. I am confident that our friendship, mutual trust, and strategic partnership will continue to grow for the benefit of our countries and peoples."
