A seminar on the topic "Armenia-Azerbaijan Negotiations: How to Move on the Path of Peace" was held today at the Austrian National Defense Academy in Vienna, organized by the "International Center for European Union Research", APA reports.
The participants of the seminar were the chairman of the National Front Party, MP Razi Nurullayev, and the chairman of the opposition "Bright Armenia" Party in Armenia, Edmon Marukyan.
Razi Nurullayev told APA that the seminar was dedicated to the analysis of the development of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan after the Washington Agreement signed in August 2025. The main goal of the seminar was to assess the impact of that agreement on regional stability and the practical possibilities of the TRIPP framework as a sustainable peace mechanism. The participants discussed the impact of these processes on the domestic political landscape in Armenia on the eve of the 2026 elections and how Azerbaijan is shaping its position in the post-conflict period: "I noted at the meeting that a certain trust has emerged between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. At the Washington meeting, we have almost achieved peace. In such circumstances, the Armenian opposition should not muddy the waters and view Nikol Pashinyan's every step as "hostile activity". The Armenian opposition should also strive for the full signing of the peace agreement that has already been initialed for the sake of the peoples, states and the region."
