It has been proposed to establish a Working Group between the parliaments of Romania and Azerbaijan, APA reports.
The proposal was put forward by Mircea Abrudean, President of the Senate of the Romanian Parliament, during an international parliamentary conference held in the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Romanian Senate President emphasized that Romania attaches great importance to its partnership with Azerbaijan. He also suggested several areas for cooperation between the two parliaments:
“We have already started implementing Azerbaijan’s ASAN Service model in Romania. We could establish a joint working group between the parliamentary committees of Romania and Azerbaijan on digitalization and cybersecurity. In addition, the transport and energy committees could hold meetings once a year,” Abrudean said.
He also stressed that stability in the South Caucasus serves the interests of all parties.
