Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov did not rule out a phone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
He stated during today's briefing that if needed, a phone conversation between Putin and Trump could be arranged swiftly.
"The existing channels for dialogue with the Americans allow this to be done in a fairly short period of time. However, there is currently no agreement between Moscow and Washington or no conversation request from the White House," - Kremlin spokesperson underlined.
Regarding the proposed 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine, Peskov noted that "Russia is not rushing to make any decisions and is awaiting further information from the United States, carefully studying the statements on the outcomes of the US-Ukraine talks."
Peskov also addressed the possibility of cooperation between Russia and the US in the extraction of rare earth metals, mentioning that no discussions have taken place so far.
