“We welcome the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. It is very pleasant for us to observe this process,” said Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili during a panel discussion held within the framework of the 5th Tbilisi Silk Road Forum, APA’s local bureau reports.
According to her, the new reality in the South Caucasus adds value to the region.
“Today, we are seeing new dynamics in the region, and this is undoubtedly an opportunity for the South Caucasus. Although our region is small, it is a very important one not only for Europe and Asia but also globally,” Botchorishvili said.
The Foreign Minister emphasized that Georgia is connected with Azerbaijan and Türkiye through a strategic partnership that has lasted for decades.
“These relations are reflected in very important projects and add value to the Middle Corridor. The rich experience of this strong and productive strategic partnership certainly provides Georgia with additional advantages to play a key role in connectivity between East and West. We are ready to play an important role in the development of the Middle Corridor, which is vital for both Europe and Asia,” the minister added.
