“There is efficient cooperation between Egypt and Azerbaijan in fields such as oil and gas, ICT, infrastructure, as well as pharmaceuticals,” said Rania El-Mashat, Egypt’s acting Minister of International Cooperation, APA's correspondent assigned to Cairo reports.
She said that her country is interested in further expansion of these fields in the future: “Businessmen and government representatives from your country visited Egypt last month in preparation for the visit of the President of Azerbaijan. We will have more detailed discussions on the areas of cooperation at the meeting of the Egypt-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Commission before the COP29 event. I congratulate Azerbaijan for hosting COP20. Egypt hosted COP27 two years ago.
There are a number of areas of cooperation between our countries. One of them is partnership in the combat against climate change. The main matter here consists of attracting funds from the international community to climate issues. Therefore, after this visit, we hope that the cooperation with Azerbaijan in the areas I mentioned above will expand further.”
