Robert Palmer: â€œCouncil of Europe is ready to send technical mission to Nagorno Karabakh for determination of damage inflicted on cultural monumentsâ€

But to him, both sides should agree for realization of such mission and the agreement had not been achieved yet: â€œWe are still waiting for agreement from both sides. But the Council of Europe is ready to send technical mission to Nagorno Karabakh for determination of damage inflicted on cultural monuments. But we need formal agreement, mandate for it. We hope that the government of both countries will soon address us for implementation of such missionâ€.

According to words of Palmer, it is difficult for him to say concrete reason of prolongation of such political processes. Assessing the work of the forum held in Baku, Palmer said that such events might help the regulation of conflicts in the region: â€œCurrent conflicts are very difficult and take place at different levels: at the level of states, peopleâ€™s level. The regulation of the conflict is a process, which needs time. Value of todayâ€™s event is that, it has become possible to gather different participants for conducting dialogue, holding discussions, conducting practice exchange, demonstrating new initiativesâ€.
