Baku. Lachin Sultanova – APA. Within the framework of a visit to Azerbaijan, a group of Israeli journalists held a press conference, APA reports. “The main purpose of the visit was to obtain information about the genocide of Azerbaijanis”, said vice-president of Russian Azerbaijanis` Federal National Cultural Autonomy Mirashraf Fatiyev.

Head of the delegation Avigdor Eskin said that on March 30, they visited mass cemetery in Guba. He noted that there are bones of Jewish, Lezghin and Talish among the Azerbaijanis killed Dashnaks and Bolsheviks in 1918: “Such events must not be forgotten. The world does not want to hear about the Khojaly incidents and does not know more about this tragedy as well”.

Eskin condemned the UN: “The international community is not aware of the Security Council’s decision on Libya, but this decision has already been kicked off, Libya is being bombed. But at the same time, 4 resolutions on Karabakh remain still on the papers nearly 20 years”.

Director General of Sputnik newspaper of Azerbaijani origin Mark Gorin noted that Jewish people living in Israel and those who live in Azerbaijan love Azerbaijan very much and consider themselves as a part of Azerbaijani nation: “Most of Russian-language journalists in Israel are from Baku. Anti-Semitism has never existed in these lands. Jewish people were never welcomed in such a way”.
Another Jewish of Azerbaijani origin, Director General of Novosti Nedeli newspaper Pyotr Lukimson said that he was aware of Nagorno Karabakh conflict very well and that he wrote several articles on this issue: “I am leaving here with new ideas and promise that Prime Minister and FM of Israel will be informed about this visit and new ideas until April 10”.
