The winter session will be devoted to the new strategic concept of NATO.
Historical approach to NATO’s strategic concepts and their assessment, current security threats, NATO’s new strategic concept, NATO and partnership relations and opportunities of practical implementation of the new strategic concept will be discussed during the session.
The opening ceremony of the winter session will be held on January 31. Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov, Ambassador Nicolae Ureche of Romania serving as NATO’s Contact Point Embassy in Azerbaijan and NATO International Military Staff Cooperation and Regional Security Department Chief, Major-General Carlos Branco will make speeches at the opening ceremony.
