Employee of Azerbaijani embassy in Egypt Javid Alekberov told APA that the roads led to the center of Cairo where governmental and parliament buildings are located, are closed and cordoned: “All the buses moving in that direction are being returned. Our embassy is situated far from that zone and our region is calm. We continue to work in usual regime”. Alekberov said that about 70 Azerbaijani students educated in Cairo’s universities do not have any problems: “There was no appeal to the embassy. But we keep contact with them ourselves”.

The diplomat said that there was no appeal from Azerbaijani tourists resting in Egypt: “There are Baku-Sharm el-Sheikh direct flights and mostly the tourists use these flights. Now their amount is not so great and we didn’t have any problems”.

First secretary of Azerbaijani embassy in Jordan Kenan Murtuzov said that there were not any mass riots in capital Amman, but noted the calm demonstrations in the streets: “One of the facts proving that everything is taking place in the peaceful atmosphere is that the police are distributing water among the protesters. There is no danger to the destiny of Azerbaijanis in Jordan. The tourists continue to arrive in the country, the airports work normally.

Spokesman for Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Elkhan Polukhov said that Azerbaijani diplomatic representation in Tunisia works in usual regime and no problems were created.
